Using satellite data, researchers studied collapsing ice cliffs in Antarctica. They found that these falling cliffs do not always cause the whole ice sheet to collapse. Their study was published on 15 October 2026 in the journal Science. They work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and the University of Michigan.
