MIT Scientists Build Robotic Optics Laboratory

Scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology built a robotic optics laboratory. A robotic optics laboratory is a machine system that sets up tests with light. It can automatically put together and adjust equipment for light-based experiments. The new setup uses a robotic arm with seven joints. It moves lenses and mirrors into specific positions on a metal table.
