NASA Develops Solid Battery for the Moon

NASA is developing a solid battery called SPEARS. It will power equipment during future missions to the Moon. The project started in 2026 to support the Artemis campaign. This programme aims to keep humans on the Moon. Donald Dornbusch works at NASA. He said that future missions would require batteries that could function safely in extreme conditions.
